An all-in-one app for running a household: recipes, meal planning, a shared pantry, shopping lists, a cleaning checklist, to-do lists, a shared calendar, expenses, and home inventory — all connected to each other, in one place, instead of five separate apps.
No. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and you don't need to enter a card to begin. You'll only be asked for payment details if you decide to subscribe once the trial ends.
Yes. Invite anyone in your home to join your Household, and they'll get their own login. What they see from each other is entirely up to what each person chooses to share (more on that below) — joining a household doesn't automatically expose anyone's recipes, lists, or plans.
Yes — for example, your own home and a household you help manage for a parent. Each household is a separate space with its own members and shared content.
Not from an app store — but you can install Household Cadence on your phone's home screen so it opens full-screen with its own icon, just like a regular app, using nothing but your browser:
iPhone / iPad: Open householdcadence.com in Safari (this only works in Safari, not Chrome or another browser on iOS). Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Android: Open householdcadence.com in Chrome. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right, then Install app (some versions say Add to Home screen).
Either way, it's still the same site and the same login — this just gives it its own icon and drops the browser address bar.
Only you, by default. Nothing is ever shared automatically — not by being in the same household, not by joining a Family Group. Every share is a deliberate choice you make, item by item: share your whole pantry but keep one family recipe private, share your shopping list with your spouse but not your meal planner. It's your data, and you decide who sees what.
A Household is the people actually living under one roof, sharing things like the pantry and cleaning checklist day-to-day. A Family Group is for staying connected across separate households entirely — parents, adult kids, or grandparents who live somewhere else — without merging into one shared account or giving up control over what they can see.
No. Sharing only ever grants viewing. Whoever created a recipe, list, or plan is the only one who can ever edit or delete it — a recipient can view it, and can copy a shared recipe into their own Recipe Box to make their own version, but the original stays entirely under the owner's control.
Yes, you can mark any recipe of yours public so it shows up in the Community Cookbook for anyone to discover. This is permanent and one-way by design — once public, a recipe can't be made private again or deleted, and you'll see a clear warning before confirming. Keep this in mind before making something public.
Yes. Paste a link from most recipe sites and we'll pull in the ingredients, steps, and photo automatically. If you're moving from another recipe app, Bulk Import accepts a batch of exported recipe files (and a menu document) all at once, rather than adding them one by one.
List the ingredients you have on hand (or pull them straight from your Pantry) and it searches your Recipe Box — including anything shared with you and public recipes — for matches, showing exactly what you're missing for each one. Common staples like salt, pepper, oil, and water don't count for or against a match.
Yes. Tag allergens on any recipe and conflict warnings show up automatically in your Recipe Box, on the recipe itself, and in "What Can I Make?" results based on your household's allergen profiles. Nutrition (calories, protein, carbs, fat) is estimated per recipe using the USDA FoodData Central database, with a weekly rollup in the Meal Planner.
Yes — anyone a recipe is visible to (you, someone you shared it with, or the public if it's marked public) can leave a 1-5 star rating and a comment, whether that's a family review of how a meal turned out or a note on what to change next time.
Single — $3.99/month or $39.99/year, covers just you.
Family — $5.99/month or $59.99/year, covers up to 6 people in one household.
Both start with a 14-day free trial.
Yes, whenever you like, from the Billing Portal in your Account settings — no phone call or email required. Your access continues through the end of your current paid period; we don't prorate a refund for the unused portion.
Your recipes, lists, and everything else stay put — cancelling stops billing, it doesn't delete your account. If you ever want your account and data removed entirely, you can do that yourself any time from Account settings.
Yes — you can turn on two-factor authentication (using any standard authenticator app) from your Account settings for extra login security.
From Account settings, you can download a full export of everything you own, and permanently delete your account and data — no need to contact us. If deleting would leave a household, group, or subscription you're responsible for in a bad state, we'll tell you exactly what to resolve first instead of deleting silently.
From the login page, use "Resend verification email" if you never got the first one, or "Forgot your password?" to reset it. Both send a link straight to your email.
Still have a question? Contact Us and we'll get back to you.
